As the penultimate chapter unfolds, Markus is ensnared in a web of unspoken feelings and misunderstandings.

Believing Karsten's heart belongs to another, he struggles with the resurgence of his depression, determined to escape its clutches once more. Amidst his internal turmoil, Markus's path crosses with Tariq, who's reeling from his family's rejection over his coming out.

As they wander through Berlin, grappling with questions of faith and identity, a sudden phone call about Markus's grandmother's health emergency adds a new layer of stress to his already chaotic life.

Meanwhile, Karsten seeks his own escape, finding solace in the pages of books at the library and the comfort of culinary creations with Ilse.

But their peaceful day is shattered by the return of Judith, whose confessions of betrayal draw them into a turbulent emotional storm.

As evening turns to night, Karsten's visit to Markus's apartment blurs the lines of friendship. With his family away, Markus teeters on the brink of confessing his love to him. Will he seize the moment to say the truth, or will fear hold him back?
