In Epissode 5, Markus is disappointed after not hearing from Karsten for three weeks. His feelings for Karsten grow stronger, leading to melancholy and confusion about his impending move to Dresden.

He hints at his feelings for Karsten under the guise of liking Ilse during a car ride with his dad, who is unaware of Markus's true emotions. Markus struggles with his growing feelings and fears the impact on his future and friendship with Karsten.

Meanwhile, Karsten feels the weight of responsibility after his mom leaves, supporting his sister Judith, who is struggling with an eating disorder. Still, he and Markus continue their bucket list adventures, leading to playful antics and revealing conversations.

During a motorbike ride, Markus embraces Karsten tightly, causing discomfort due to Karsten's unspoken crush. Markus, filled with concern, confronts Karsten about his distance.

Karsten confesses he's in love with someone who doesn't reciprocate his feelings, unaware that Markus is the subject. 

Later, Ilse encourages Karsten to be honest, revealing that Judith's boyfriend is controlling and manipulative. After Karsten and Ilse share a friendly kiss, helping Ilse move on, Karsten takes Judith to a psychologist, uncovering her deep sense of emptiness and desire for freedom...
